Judgment Gods & Corruption
Three gods sit inside every Arcanus, watching the host. They argue. They vote. And when one of them gives up, the body begins to change.
The Arcanus have many gods, but three matter above all others — the God of Love, the God of Life, and the God of Hatred. The 'judgment gods'. They are present in every individual's mind and are responsible for judging the host's actions. They are only visible to whom the mind belongs to, take no fixed form, and tend to imitate the shape of their host.
When something is worth deciding, they begin a discussion. The outcome is set by popular vote — if Love and Life say yes and Hatred says no, yes wins. Most hosts never know it's happening, but at higher corruption levels the voices grow loud enough to hear.
Love
Purple
The most selfless god. Always votes to help and protect others, choosing what is least hurtful even when the host pays the price.
Life
White / Gray
True neutral. Listens to both Love and Hatred and casts the deciding vote based on the argument, the situation, and the emotion behind it.
Path of Redemption
Once one of the gods has gone into hibernation, two paths open.
Path 1 — Return
The individual has a change of heart and tries to better themselves. Life refuses to back the remaining loud god, the hibernating god senses it is needed, and eventually the host heals from corruption.
Path 2 — Fall
The host does not change. Life always agrees with the loud god and eventually hibernates too. Only one god can sleep at a time, so the first to hibernate leaves the host forever. The corruption is permanent — they will never drop below ±5 again.

From −10 (love corruption) through 0 (balanced) to +10 (hate corruption). Symptoms vary by individual.

First signs of love corruption
Dissociation, numbness to pain, cloudy iris color, emotionally numb.

God of Hatred hibernates
Symptoms worsen. Earliest point where the transparent horn type can show.

God of Life hibernates
God of Hatred disappears. Corruption becomes irreversible — it will never drop below −5 again.

Maximum love corruption
Heavy horn transparency. Symptoms are deadly indirectly — the corrupt walk into danger unaware.

Compromised immune system, easy bruising, red eyes, mental instability.

Symptoms worsen. Earliest point where the crumbling horn type can show.

Horn crumbling very visible. Symptoms are directly deadly, especially at lower ranks.
