The Four Races

Frostspire Reach

Northern

Broad-built, heavily furred, and long-horned. Adapted to cold and altitude.

  • ·Thickest pelt of all Arcanus races
  • ·Most likely to grow palmate or moose-like antlers
  • ·Higher tolerance for thin air and freezing nights

Ember Spires

Western

Short-statured of the four, but the most muscular. A race known for the original fire-affinity Arcanus.

  • ·Compact, powerful frames built for forge-work
  • ·Curling ram-like horns or short tined antlers
  • ·Skin patterns often mottled like cooling basalt

Sunwarden Savanna

Southern

Tall, lean, and long-legged. The runners and singers of Ethora.

  • ·Longest stride among the races
  • ·Spiral or kudu-like horns are common
  • ·Short, sun-bleached fur with sharp tonal markings

Hollow Coast

Eastern

The smallest and quickest race, with the most reptilian features. Cliff-divers, cave-readers, sea-farers.

  • ·Most pronounced scales of all races, often along spine and flanks
  • ·Eyes adapted to low light
  • ·Short, branching horns close to the skull

The Four Body Types

Bulky

Heaviest build — broad shoulders, dense frame, tall.

Common among Northerners. Reduced agility, exceptional cold tolerance and carrying capacity.

Dragon

Long-bodied, narrow, with the most pronounced reptilian features.

More scales than fur. Long neck and tail, shorter legs than Classic builds.

Classic

The baseline Arcanus silhouette — balanced height and limb length.

Most common across all races. The default form depicted in the field guides.

Royal

Tallest of the body types, with the largest horn growth.

Long-limbed, long-horned, dramatic silhouettes. Rare and culturally significant in Eastern and Southern lines.
